dear journal,
i ate a nacho today. it changed my life. the cheese was orange like the sun setting over a parking lot. the chip was crunchy like bones. i think about that nacho every single day.
sometimes i wake up at 3am in a cold sweat because i remember that the nacho is gone now. it was consumed. digested. gone forever. nothing lasts. not even nachos. especially not nachos.
i tried to recreate it. i went to the gas station. i bought the cheese in a jar. the kind that doesnt need to be refrigerated. i poured it over some stale chips. it wasnt the same. it will never be the same.
every man dies. not every man truly lives. but every nacho dies. and no nacho ever truly lived. they are born in a fryer and they die in my mouth. this is the cycle. this is the way.
if youre reading this and you have a nacho right now... eat it for me. eat it like its your last meal on earth. because one day it will be. not the nacho. you. youre going to die. but the nacho will also die. were all going to die. the nacho and me. together.
